Agamidae, commonly known as dragon lizards or dragons, is a family of over 300 species of lizards that occur with Australia, Asia, Africa andparts of Southern Europe.

The family is one of three families belonging to the infraorder Iguania. Australian dragon lizards are small to moderately-sized when fully grown, butcan grow to almost one metre. Most Australian agamids are terrestrial, some are arboreal or semiarboreal and one species is semi aquatic.
